- This allows one to stay for an indefinite period in Australia.
- The child can do work and study in Australia
- The child can enrol in the Public health scheme of Australia
- The child can sponsor family members to come to Australia
- If The child is eligible, the child can apply for Australian citizenship.
- The child can travel from and to Australia as many times as the child wants for 5 years.
Eligibility
- The child must have an eligible sponsor. The sponsor may be a parent or parent’s spouse or de facto partner.
- The child must be dependent on the parent. Their parent should be an Australian citizen, Australian Permanent visa holders, or eligible New Zealand Citizens
- The age must be under 18 years or over 18 and under 25 years and studying full time or over 18 years with a disability.
- The child cannot be or ever have been married or engaged to be married or in a de facto relationship.
- The child must have consent to migrate to Australia
- The child must meet health and character requirements
- The child must not have a cancelled visa or a refused application previously
- The child must sign the Australian values statement
- The child must be sponsored by an eligible parent.
- The child must meet the eligibility criteria
- The processing time of this visa is up to 24 months

- The child or any family member of the child must repay the debt to the Australian Government, if any.

- The child must be sponsored by an eligible adoptive parent.
- The child must meet the eligibility criteria
- The processing time of this visa is up to 27 months

- The child either must be under the age of 18 years or over 18 years but financially dependent on the parent.
- The child must meet the health and character requirements
- The child must sign the Australian values statement
- The child must have repaid the debt to the Australian Government, if any
The Process
- The child must be sponsored by the same person who sponsored or nominated the child’s parent’s permanent visa application
- The child must meet the eligibility criteria
- The processing time of this visa is up to 14 months
