Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) Visa Subclass 188
This visa is for business skills to operate a new or existing business in Australia. This is a provisional visa.
Features
- Can stay in Australia for up to 5 years
- Can bring eligible family members with you
- Can operate a new or existing business in Australia
- If eligible, apply for a permanent visa under subclass 888
- must be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency
- for 2 out of 4 fiscal years immediately before you receive an invitation to apply, you must have had an ownership stake in 1 or 2 businesses that had at least:
- AUD 500,000 turnover in each of those 2 years if you were invited to apply before 1 July 2021
- AUD 750,000 turnover in each of those 2 years if you were invited to apply on or after 1 July 2021
- On invitation when you apply for the visa, you, your partner or you both must have total net business and personal assets of at least
- AUD 1.25 million if you were invited to apply on or after 1 July 2021
- AUD 800,000 if you were invited to apply before 1 July 2021
- >must score at least 65 points on the points test
- must be under the age of 55
- must have a successful business career
- must meet the residence requirement
- must not involve in Unacceptable business activities
- must have a realistic commitment to continuing business activities.

- must not previous visa cancelled or application refused

Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa Subclass 888
This visa is for entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners to continue their activity in Australia.
Features
- Stay in Australia permanently
- Study and work in Australia
- Can sponsor relatives to come to Australia
- Can enrol in the Public Health Care Scheme of Australia
- Can travel to and from Australia for 5 years
- Can apply for Australian Citizenship, if eligible
- Must have visa subclass (188) or subclass(444) or subclass (457) visa depends on the case
- Must be nominated by State or Territory Government Agency
- Must had or continue to have, an ownership interest in up to the main business in Australia, had a direct and continuous management role in that business or businesses, submitted a Business Activity statement to the Australian Taxation, and an Australian Business Number for each of your main business. All must have 2 years immediately before you apply.
- Must have an annual business turnover of AUD 300,000
- For the 12 months immediately before you apply, you or your partner must fulfill at least 2 of the following conditions.
i.Must have assets of net value AUD 200,000 in your main business
ii.Must have personal and business assets in Australia of AUD 600,000
iii. Equivalent of at least 2 full-time eligible employees in your business - You and your partner must have followed Commonwealth laws and laws of the states or territories in which you operated the business operated while operating the business.
