Eligibility

  • You must contribute to the nation as a whole. Your contribution may be economic, social, cultural or to raise Australia’s academic, artistic, or sports standing internationally.
  • You must demonstrate that you would be able to find work in your field in Australia or become independently established in your field in Australia.
  • You must be internationally recognized with a record of achievement in a profession, sports, arts, academics, and research. You must also participate in a field that is recognized and accepted in Australia and has international standing.
  • You must be nominated or endorsed to apply for this visa. Your nominator must have a national reputation in the same field as you and be an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident, an eligible New Zealand citizen, or an Australian Organisation.
  • If you are outside Australia at the time you apply, you do not need to hold a specific visa to apply for this visa. If you are in Australia at the time, you apply must hold a substantive visa, Bridging visa A (SC-010), and Bridging visa B (SC-020). Bridging Visa C (SC-030). If you currently hold or your last substantive visa held was either Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (subclass 491) or Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) (Subclass 494). You must have held that visa for at least 3 years at the time you apply.
  • Have competent English language.
  • Must meet health and character requirements.
  • Must not have a cancelled or a previous application refused.

Eligibility
