Aged Dependent Relative Visa Subclass 114

This is a permanent visa that allows a single older person who is dependent on a relative living in Australia for financial support, can move to Australia permanently.

Features

  • You can enrol in the public health scheme of Australia.
  • You can sponsor your relatives to Australia
  • If you are eligible, you can apply to Australian Citizenship
  • You can travel from and to Australia for 5 years as many times as you want.

Eligibility

  • You must have a sponsor
  • You must be old enough to receive the age pension in Australia
  • For the 3 years before, you must be dependent for basic needs on your relative in Australia
  • You must have no partner
  • You must be able to get assurance of support
  • You must meet health and character requirements
  • You must not have a cancelled visa or a refused application previously

Sponsor Requirements

  • The applicant must be the remaining relative of you or your partner
  • You or your partner must be settled in Australia and must be of 18 years or above.
  • You or your partner should be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen.
  • You and your partner must not have held and sponsored any person who held a Remaining Relative visa (subclass 835 or subclass 115) or Preferential Family visa (subclass 104) or Family visa (subclass 806)

  • The applicant must be your relative or relative’s spouse or de facto partner.
  • You must provide assistance in housing and finance for 2 years.
  • You or your partner must be settled in Australia and must be of 18 years or above.
  • You or your partner should be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen.
  • You or a family member who lives with you must have a medical condition either long-term or permanent for that you need assistance for 2 years with practical aspects of daily life. You must be assessed by Bupa Medical Visa services.
