USA Admission Guidelines
The process
Obtain minimum language proficiency: in one of the following language exams: TOEFL/IELTS, SAT (pre-requisite for undergraduate programs), GRE/GMAT (required for entry into graduate programs).
Show proof of minimum education qualification
Apply from the official website of the desired University or via admission portals (for example: Common App/Coalition App), with supporting documents which depends on the choice of course and institutes admission requirements for international students
Submit application and wait for offer letter from the University (turnaround time can be 2 – 8 weeks).
Receive a conditional offer letter, student needs to fulfill all conditions of the offer letter along with payment of enrolment fees.
Once all conditions of the conditional offer letter have been met, wait to receive the full offer letter.
Receive offer letter/confirmation of acceptance (CAS) from the University, confirm the acceptance into the selected course by paying a deposit fee (university dependent). (It may take approximately 3 to 7 days after submission).
Once CAS is received, then proceed to secure the following:
Tuition fee.
Funds to cover living expenses including travel, food, and other costs for the duration of the course.

Steps for Application of Study Visa:
Apply for the student visa at the U S Embassy or Consulate with jurisdiction over the applicant place i.e., the home country
Schedule an appointment at the relevant local visa centre with required documents such as
A valid passport with a validity date at least six months beyond your period of stay
