    • Must be under the age of 50 years
    • Must be the holder of a current student visa or if holding a student visa within the last 6 months then currently you have a Bridging Visa A or Bridging Visa B or Substantive Visa
    • Must meet Australian study requirement
    • Either you must hold a passport from the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland or must be proficient in English.
    • Must have adequate health insurance
    • Must meet health and character requirements
    • Must sign the Australian values statement
    • Must not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused

    The process

    • The processing time of applications is 17 months
    • You must have a qualification relevant to an occupation on the skilled occupation list*
    • You must apply for a skills assessment in your nominated occupation on the skilled occupation list*

    Occupation
    Your occupation must be on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations.
    You must have a skills assessment that shows you have the skills and qualifications to work in that occupation.

    You must be in Australia or Overseas when you apply for this visa but you should not be in immigration clearance.

    How long the visa lasts
    This is a temporary visa. You can stay for 18 months or 24 months if the visa is granted from 1 December 2021. Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders may stay up to 5 years.

    You can include your family members in your application.
    Family members who are granted the visa have the same rights and can do the same things as you.

    Your obligations
    You and your family members must comply with Australian laws and your visa conditions.

    You will be granted this visa if you have done Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or Doctoral Degree or Postgraduate diploma in an engineering discipline with in last two year and must fulfil other eligibility criteria.

    Temporary Activity Visa Subclass 408

    Australian Government Endorsed Events
    This visa allows you to come to Australia temporarily to participate in events that are endorsed by the Australian Government.

    Features

    • You can include members of the family unit in your application.

      Eligibility

      • You must have enough money to support yourself and any dependent family members who travel to Australia to you
      • you must be approved to take part in an Australian Government endorsed event
      • you must meet the health and character requirement
      • you must have adequate health insurance
      • You must be a genuine temporary entrant.
      • You must not have had a cancelled visa or a refused previous application
    The Process

    • You must be in writing about the endorsement of the event
    • Submit the written document of endorsement to the department.
    • If the department finds you a genuine temporary entrant and you fulfill other eligibility criteria, Department will grant you the visa.
    • The processing time for this visa is 14 months.

    Temporary Activity Visa (subclass 408)
    Special Program stream
    You can take part in an approved special program with this visa. Special programs can include youth exchange, cultural enrichment or community programs, school language assistants, or gap year school volunteering.
    ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​You must have an invitation to participate in an approved special program.
    You must meet certain visa requirements.
    With this visa, you can stay up to 12 months. Department fees is from AUD 325 for the main applicant.
    Processing time is up to 22 months.

    Temporary Activity Visa (subclass 408)
    Religious Work
    This visa allows you to do full-time religious work for a religious institution in Australia for up to 2 years.
    You must have an agreement to work full-time for a religious institution in Australia.
    You must meet certain visa requirements
    This visa allows you to stay for up to 2 years. The department fee is from AUD 325* for the main applicant. Processing Time is 21 Months

    Training Visa Subclass 407

    This visa allows you to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities to improve your skills for your job, area of tertiary study, field of expertise, or in a professional development training program in Australia.

    Features

    • Visit Australia to complete workplace-based training (to improve your skills for your current occupation, area of tertiary study, a field of expertise, or a professional development training program)

    Training Visa Subclass 407

    This visa allows you to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities to improve your skills for your job, area of tertiary study, field of expertise, or in a professional development training program in Australia.

    Features

    • Visit Australia to complete workplace-based training (to improve your skills for your current occupation, area of tertiary study, a field of expertise, or a professional development training program)
    Eligibility

    • Your sponsor must be approved as a temporary activities sponsor.
    • Your sponsor must have nominated you to participate in a program of occupational training unless your sponsor is an Australian Commonwealth Government agency.
    • Nomination requirements are different depending on the purpose or type of training.
    • There are 3 types of Occupational training covered by this visa that are Occupational training required for registration, Occupational training to improve skills in an eligible occupation, and Occupational training for capacity building overseas.
    • must be 18 years old.
    • must be functional in the English Language
    • must have adequate Health insurance
    • must meet health and character requirements.
    • must be a genuine temporary entrant.
    • must sign the Australian values statement
    • must not have a visa cancelled or a previous application refused
    • If you are in Australia, you must currently hold a valid temporary substantive visa that is not a Subclass 403, 771, or a Special Purpose Visa.
    • If you are outside Australia and do not hold a substantive visa, your last substantive visa must not have been one of the above visas and your application must be made within 28 days after the last substantive visa you held ceased to be in effect or after the day you notify by authority.

    The Process

    • Your sponsor must be approved as a temporary activities sponsor.
    • Your sponsor must have nominated you to participate in a program of occupational training unless your sponsor is an Australian Commonwealth Government agency.
    • Nomination requirements are different depending on the purpose or type of training.

    Your occupation must be according to the list of occupations approved for the training program in Australia.

    Government Agreement Stream
    This visa allows a person to work in Australia under the terms and conditions of a bilateral agreement between the Australian Government and a government of another country.
    Features

    • You can work under the terms and conditions of a bilateral agreement between the Australian Government or an Australian state or a territory government
    • You can apply to bring your immediate family (if permitted under the agreement and specified in the letter of support from the Australian signatory)
    • You can travel to and from Australia as many times as you want.
    Eligibility

    • You must be engaged under the terms and conditions of a Bilateral agreement between Australia or an Australian state or territory government and another country.
    • You must have the support of the signatories to the agreement
    • You intend to meet the terms and conditions of the agreement.
    • You must have the financial capacity to support yourself and any dependent family members who come with you
    • You must meet health and character requirements
    • You must have adequate health insurance
    • You must not have had a cancelled visa or an application refused previously

    The Process

    • You must need to be in a bilateral contract with Australia and another country.
    • You don’t need a sponsor, but you must have the support of signatories of the bilateral agreement under whom you will work in Australia.
    • You need to comply with licensing and registration requirements as part of your employment.

    You can make a bilateral contract with an Australian state or Territory. The terms and conditions of the contract depend on the different states or territories of Australia.

    This visa allows you to come to Australia for specific activities. You can work in Australia employed as a foreign language teacher or a representative of a foreign government agency by a foreign government. You must be supported by a government agency.You must meet certain visa requirements. This is a temporary visa. Department fees are from AUD 325 for the main applicant. Processing time is up to 13 months.

    Temporary Work (International Relations) visa (subclass 403) Domestic Worker (Diplomatic or Consular) stream
    This visa lets you do temporary full-time domestic work in Australia if aged 18 years or older in the household of someone who holds a Diplomatic (Temporary) visa subclass 995. You must be outside Australia when you lodge your first application. You must meet certain visa requirements This is a temporary visa. The department fee is from AUD 325* for the main applicant.

    Temporary Work (International Relations) visa (subclass 403) Pacific Australia Labour Mobility stream
    This visa allows you to come to Australia to participate in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme. You must be a citizen and resident of a specified Pacific Island country and be sponsored by a Temporary Activities Sponsor, approved by DFAT to participate in the program. You must meet certain visa requirements. This is a temporary visa. The department fee is from AUD 325* for the main applicant. Processing time is up to 14 days.

    • You will need to show that you have the skills, knowledge, or experience to do this work by resume or any licenses or qualifications you have or a letter from your overseas employer explaining your current position and duties.
    • You will be not allowed if you have worked in the Australian Entertainment industry.

    This visa is granted with either single entry or multiple entry. In a single entry, once you leave Australia, you cannot re-enter Australia on a visa. In multiple entry, you can leave and re-enter visa Australia as many times as you want till the validity of the visa.
